Our team is excited to announce we are again participating in Mobile’s annual Heart Walk on Saturday, November 2 at the University of South Alabama. Throughout the month of October, we will be raising money and awareness for this event through raffles, luncheons and by participating in the American Heart Association Move More Challenge.
About the Move More Challenge
The American Heart Association launched the Move More Challenge to encourage everyone to get at least 150 minutes of exercise a week during the month of October. To make things more fun and interesting, we decided to make this a team challenge, inviting all of our employees and patients to participate. If you’re interested, download the Heart Walk App to register. Match with Mobile Heart Specialists and begin logging your daily activities. Any activity counts — from dance and yoga to bootcamp classes and evening walks! Download this PDF to learn more.
Events & Raffles
Along with the challenge, we’re also hosting several events and raffles in October.
- October 14 – 31 | Heart Walk Raffle: Tickets for the raffle are available now to purchase from any Mobile Heart Specialist employee — $3 for a single ticket, $5 for three and $10 for eight. Tickets will be on sale from October 14-31, with two winners announced on November 1. Each prize is valued at $50. Stop by our office today to purchase your tickets.
- October 18 | Nacho Lunch: Spend your lunch hour with us on October 18 from 11 a.m. – 1p.m. Tickets are $10 and include loaded nachos, a cookie and a drink, and will be available for purchase starting October 1.
We’re also selling small hearts that will be posted throughout our office with the donor’s name on them. The hearts are $1 for red, $5 for silver and $10 for gold.
